Dr. Aparna Kulkarni, a pioneer in Fetal medicine, established Pune’s first Fetal medicine department at the Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital in 2009. With over a decade of experience as a Fetal Medicine specialist, Dr. Kulkarni has gained expertise in various areas, including medical treatment, clinical research, and teaching.

Her expertise lies in Obstetric ultrasound scans, invasive procedures for genetic disorders, higher order multifetal gestation, fetal echocardiography, and fetal blood transfusions.

Since 2009, Dr. Kulkarni has been invited as a faculty member to various local, state-level, and national conferences. She has actively participated in postgraduate teaching programs such as GURUKUL and MRCOG. Additionally, she has presented papers at national and international conferences and journals held in India, the UK, and Canada, focusing on topics related to Ultrasound scanning for high-risk pregnancies.

Dr. Kulkarni’s contribution to the field of Fetal medicine extends beyond her clinical practice. She has designed, performed, and presented audits for Fetal medicine Standard Operating Procedures, leading to recognition from the National Health Service Hospitals in the UK.
